He said selection of Manzoor Wattoo in Punjab is unfortunate for Pakistan Peoples Party and it will prove to be the last nail in the coffin of Zardari's party. "New stories of corruption, loot and plunder have been written by the Punjab Governor's own party. Before criticising Punjab government, Latif Khosa should know that Chairman NAB has withdrawn his statement regarding corruption in Punjab. The Governor while keeping in view the dignity of his office, instead of criticising the public welfare projects of Punjab government should read the reports of international institutions in which World Bank and Transparency International have acknowledged the transparency in development projects of Punjab government," he mentioned.
Rana said the appointment of Governor has been made on political basis and under the Constitution, Governor has no administrative powers. He said for improving the caretaker set-up, Governors should also be removed, which will further strengthen the steps taken by Election Commission for making election transparent and impartial. Replying to a question, he said that instead of filing an appeal against Supreme Court's decision, MQM should change its attitude otherwise it will be politically isolated.
